LTC students drive change at TCC Youth Engagement Forum
LTC students are driving positive change in the community through their involvement in the Tuggeranong Community Council (TCC) Youth Engagement Forum which was held last Thursday, 29th April.
The Forum was held to discuss key topics of concern for young people living in the Tuggeranong region and LTC students Bethany Schulhin, Tiana Simpson, Lily Hannen, Elfine Kabay, Breanna Vanhala and Connor Green voiced their opinions on a range of issues such as nightlife, safety, sport, transport and climate change.

LTC student Connor Green said the TCC embraced innovative ideas from the young emerging leaders.
“It was good to voice our opinion and feel that something is actually going to be done,” he said.
“Local change is necessary. For example, there are issues that need fixing like transport. Through the Forum, the people in power can make change happen based on our feedback”.
LTC student Breanna Vanhala said feedback received from the Forum will be used to advocate for change in Tuggeranong Community Council discussions with the ACT Government and other bodies.
“It was great to put forward ideas as to what changes could be made in the Tuggeranong area,” she said.
“What we raised could influence what the ACT government does”.
