Admin team – Adopt a Ward
This year the admin team adopted word 11B at TCH for Christmas. What is Adopt a Ward you ask! Well, it’s a new initiative the hospital started last year, where community groups, businesses or schools can adopt a ward at the hospital and deliver presents to the patients of that ward.
Rather than doing a Secret Santa they decided to buy presents for people who could really do with some cheering up. And it worked, as you will see in the photos.
Our ward 11B is the acute geriatric ward. Jill, Pat, Carlene and Sally delivered 24 presents this morning and met some lovely old folks, had a chat and a laugh and heard some great stories.
It was a huge success and very rewarding for both the givers and the receivers.
Hats off to the wonderful admin team. How inspiring! You are all so humble and so giving and you make A DIFFERENCE in so many people’s lives – students, families and the wider community. Thankyou from the rest of the school community to you! You really live and act LEARN, THRIVE and CONNECT. What great ambassadors for the school.
Wishing everyone at LTC and their families a fantastic Christmas and new year and a safe and happy holiday.
