Secondary Schools Chess Open
On Friday 17th June, five LTC students competed in the Secondary Schools Chess Open at Telopea Park School. The students were Phoenix Coleman, Jackson Dickie, Kai Elphick, Joel Rosa and Dylan Whitley.
This is the first school chess event that has been run for a couple of years due to COVID.
Congratulations to our students who placed 6th out of 24 teams and a particular mention to Dylan Whitely who placed equal third as an individual player.

Drama in Context
In Drama In Context, students experimented with changing the time and place for famous Shakespearean plays to comic effect.
Key acting techniques explored were audience participation, the use of a Joker to direct the audience and to get their opinions and suggestions, image theatre (where actors are posed before beginning the scene) and direct address to the audience.

Vocational Learning Options
Vocational learning options or VLOs are a career education and vocational learning program that aims to strengthen students’ engagement with their learning and career planning.
