Community Spirit Awards

Do you know a school or student that goes the extra mile to make a difference in our community? ABC Canberra wants to celebrate and recognise the schools that go above and beyond to build school pride and student engagement within the ACT.
Nominations for the ABC Canberra Community Spirit Awards close 12 August. Nominate a local school project and highlight the amazing work they’ve done in our community. Nominate now at ABC Canberra Community Spirit Awards.

College Connect

As the list below shows College Connect provided LTC students with a wide range of activities based on interests outside of the Year 12 certificate. Many of the activities contribute to the college community and allow the students to develop their interests in a more relaxed setting.

One Day Sports Carnivals and safety at sporting events

Keep our students’ safe at sporting events. Play by the rules when parking at ovals and sporting venues. Parking inspectors will be patrolling local sporting events throughout the year to keep our future athletes and Olympians safe. Break the rules and you risk a fine.

Don’t park on footpaths, across driveways, no stopping zones, no parking zones, bus zones or in disabled parking spaces. Can’t find a park? Be a sport, park legally and venture further afield. You’ll be keeping us all safe and it will be good for your fitness too!

Please also remember to treat our parking inspectors with respect.

Like umpires on the field, they are enforcing the rules to keep us all safe. To report unsafe and illegal parking call 13 22 81 or visit Illegal parking.

Over the next couple of weeks there will be a wise range of sports for the LTC students to participate in.

  • Badminton Friday 13 August
  • Mixed Hockey NOW FRIDAY 20 August
  • Boys Soccer Tuesday 24 August
  • Mountain Biking Friday 27 August
  • Indoor Cricket Wednesday 1 September
  • Frisbee Friday 3 September
  • Rugby 10’s Friday 10 September
  • ACT Athletics Tuesday 14 September
  • Squash (TBC)
