Reflecting on Success: A Recap of LTC’s Last Two Weeks in 2023

With classes concluding for the year, it’s a moment for reflection on the incredible achievements and milestones LTC has witnessed throughout the last two weeks of 2023.

From the vibrant celebrations at our Success Assembly, honouring our students’ exceptional feats, to the captivating journey through “The Little Prince’s” magical drama, each experience has left an indelible mark.

Our triumphs at SouthFest’s Battle of the Bands, the awe-inspiring showcase of our Visual Art Exhibition, and our students’ remarkable success as finalists at the Canberra Short Film Festival stand as testaments to our community’s talent and dedication.

Alongside these accomplishments, we’ve embraced hands-on learning in Early Childhood Education, witnessed our students’ conquests in cybersecurity challenges, and received invaluable support from partners like Woolworths Tuggeranong through their weekly fruit donations.

As we bid adieu to classes for the year, the horizon of 2024 shines bright with upcoming opportunities and the promise of an inspiring educational journey ahead.

🌟🎭 With the final curtain call of “The Little Prince,” our drama production came to an enchanting conclusion.

Congratulations to Catherine, the phenomenal cast, and dedicated crew for a mesmerising show that brought Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s beloved tale to life on our stage.

LTC Students Shine: Finalists at Canberra Short Film Festival!

Lights, camera, excellence!

LTC’s Media class has taken centre stage with two remarkable animated short films, “Tiddalik” by Meaghan Holborow and “His World” by Ethan Van der Meulen, both selected as finalists at this year’s prestigious Canberra Short Film Festival! 🎥✨

Meaghan and Ethan, Year 12 students, showcased their extraordinary creativity by crafting original animations that championed intercultural understanding. Their films were more than just visual marvels; they were powerful tools designed to enlighten and engage audiences on the beauty of diverse cultures. Their mission? To foster respect for cultural diversity and evoke empathy through the art of storytelling. 🌍❤️

The anticipation peaked as these captivating films graced the BIG SCREEN at Dendy Cinema on Thursday, November 9, 2023, offering audiences a glimpse into the incredible talent nurtured within LTC’s Media class.

While the screenings have now concluded, the impact of Meaghan and Ethan’s exceptional creations linger on. Their dedication and creativity exemplify LTC’s commitment to nurturing talent and promoting a community of understanding and inclusion.

Join us in applauding Meaghan, Ethan, and the entire Media class for their exceptional achievements. 🌟

Hands-On Learning in Early Childhood Education

This term, Early Childhood students have been designing mini lessons targeting the development of health and wellbeing in the early years. 🧒📚🎨

Some of these lessons have included reading stories about wellbeing issues, painting and crafting 🖌️✂️, and physical activities such as obstacle courses and parachute play 🏃‍♂️🪂.

Students have had the opportunity to apply their theoretical knowledge during our Friday practical lessons, which have been well received by our little friends from Stardust Childcare Centre. 🌟👶

LTC Students Conquer the Cyber School Challenge 2023

At LTC, our students are always up for a challenge, and the Cyber School Challenge 2023 – Project Lunar was no exception! 🚀🌟 We’re thrilled to share the remarkable journey of our talented students as they dove into the realm of cybersecurity, showcasing their skills and determination.

This immersive experience has not only been inspiring for our students but also serves as a beacon of encouragement for all participants to explore the vast opportunities within the field of cybersecurity. 💻🛡️

For a recap of their journey, check out the WIN News story about this event: Watch Here.

Join us in celebrating the dedication and success of our LTC students as they continue to excel in the ever-evolving landscape of cyber excellence! 🌟👏
