LTC Engineering students measure up at Bunnings

Bunnings played host to 15 LTC Year 11 and 12 students who measured, took photos and worked out designs for their term 1 project – a portal steel framed building to be built in Cooma NSW to house large farm equipment.

Students used laser measuring equipment to measure the sizes of the steel frame and got a first-hand view of how the parts are joined together to make a framed building.

Students are building models of their designs which will be tested to make sure they are structurally sound.

Bunnings shouted us a sausage and drink – what great community partnership.
