The soon-to-be-graduating Year 12 Building Construction students at LTC recently delivered the efforts of their labour this year to Chisholm High and Monash Primary Schools.
The team of students constructed two ‘Poultry Palaces’ as part of the process of achieving their VET competencies.
The structures have been designed to offer maximum protection and comfort for our fine feathered friends. The ‘palaces’ include two nesting boxes with external access, high (and dry) perches for roosting and a watering system which gathers water from the structure’s roof. The structures have also been designed to be ‘fox proof’.
There should be some very content chooks at the Monash and Chisholm schools in the not-too-distant future.
