LTC students get river smart

The LTC Year 12 Human Ecology class was very privileged recently in having Dr. Bill Phillips, CEO of Riversmart, come and talk about the human impacts of Lake Burley Griffin.

Students learned first-hand how willow trees, storm-water drains, construction sites, carp and livestock etc have a negative impact on the ecology of the lake. The best thing about the visit was also learning the solutions we have in solving such environmental issues.
I wish to thanks all the students of my Human Ecology class in being such wonderful ambassadors of LTC and making our visitor feel welcomed. We all learned lots on the day!
