Indigenous Bush Tucker at LTC

Adam Shipp, from Greening Australia, will be starting a bush tucker garden at Lake Tuggeranong College on Wednesday 20 July 2016.

Adam is a Canberra local, whose dad is a Wiradjuri man from central-west NSW, and whose mum  is Welsh. Adam will be planting native teas, rice, yams and raspberry in a new college garden bed.

All students and staff are invited to join in the NAIDOC week this year on Wednesday 20th July at Lake Tuggeranong College. A special invitation is extended to the families of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.

The festivities kick off at 12:30pm in the courtyard at LTC. Activities will include:

  • A bush tucker garden planting with Adam Shipp
  • Music performances from our music students
  • A free BBQ
  • Movie screenings in the lecture theatre
